In short: this website sets no cookies, uses no tracking and loads nothing from third-party servers. The only processing of your data is what any web server needs technically to deliver a page – and your own email if you write to me.
This is an English rendering of the German privacy notice, which is authoritative. The website is operated from Germany under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Visiting the website (server logs)
When you open a page, your browser technically transmits the IP address, date and time, the requested address, the previously visited page (referrer), browser type and operating system. These data are processed in the hosting provider's logs to deliver the page, secure operation and detect faults. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). The logs are deleted automatically by the hosting provider after a short time and are not merged with other data; I do not analyse them.
Hosting: Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG, Königsberger Straße 4–6, 32339 Espelkamp, Germany. The servers are located in Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Mittwald.
3. No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services. No user profiles are created. That is why there is no cookie banner. Your browser's local storage is not used.
4. Content from third-party servers
Fonts, stylesheets and graphics are served from our own server. No content from Google, social networks, map services, booking platforms or advertising networks is embedded.
The pages contain links to external websites: to Viator for booking (affiliate links, marked as advertising), to authorities and operators, and to the sources named on each page. Only when you click such a link do the privacy rules of the respective provider apply. Viator recognises through a parameter in the link that you came from this website; which data Viator processes is described in its own privacy policy. Viator, Inc. is based in the USA; the transfer of data there happens through your browser when you open the linked page, not through this website.
5. Contact by email
If you write to me, I process your email address and the content of your message to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Messages are deleted once the enquiry is settled and no statutory retention obligations apply.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.
7. Changes
