Where the data come from
Product data (title, operator, inclusions, exclusions, options, itineraries, cancellation rules, age bands, tour languages, review counts) come from the Viator Partner API, retrieved on 22 September 2026. List prices per option come from the same interface's availability data on 23 September 2026; they are adult prices per person in the operator's currency. We convert Vietnamese dong to US dollars at Viator's rate on the same day and round. Viator converts at the day's rate at checkout.
Guide figures outside the product data – bus fares, permit fees, entry tickets, train tickets – we name with source and date as guide figures. We have not booked any of these services ourselves.
The four inclusion statuses
- included: in the operator's inclusion list or unambiguous in the itinerary.
- not included: in the exclusion list.
- depends on option: included only in certain bookable variants; which ones is in the detail.
- unclear: neither promised nor excluded, or the statements contradict each other. Unclear is not zero dollars and not a tick.
We assign no status the data do not support. Where a product says “ticket included” and “ticket excluded” at once, the contradiction goes in the table and the product carries a reservation.
How we choose recommendations
We match options to travel situations: with transfer, with your own travel to the start, with fewer travel days, with nothing to pay on site. Every recommendation names its main limitation. There is no ranking by commission, no star rating of our own and no “test winner”: we have not done the tours ourselves and do not claim to. Platform ratings we show as a signal of demand and trust, not as proof of safety.
What we cannot check
Whether the operator on the ground is the one named on the platform. Whether a rider is sober and a guide is good. Whether an insurance policy covers your case. Whether licence rules are applied at a checkpoint the way the foreign office describes them. Medical questions about altitude and exertion. For all of that we cite sources and say whom to ask.
Maintenance
Every page carries a check date and a price date. We reconcile product status and prices regularly via the interface, links weekly, inclusion lists and contradictions monthly. Old prices are dated or removed, not presented as current. If you find an error, write to us – the address is in the legal notice.
How we make money
Booking links go to Viator and are affiliate links: if you book, we earn a commission and your price does not change. The commission has no influence on status, selection or order; commission rates do not differ between products in a way that would make ranking worthwhile. Details in the affiliate disclosure.
