Who writes here

Kai-Michael Rauch lives and works in Berlin. With his agency Rauch Media he has built websites since 2007, mostly for clubs and small businesses. Alongside that grew a set of topic sites with one thing in common: they sort a confusing market by verifiable data instead of advertising it.
Outdoors he is happiest in the air: paragliding in the Alps, where the view from the launch site across the pass asks the same question as a trek – what lies beyond, and what does it take to get there. That is exactly the question Trail & Pass answers, for guided multi-day tours.
What you can expect from me
I read product data, not brochures. For every route I pull the inclusion lists, options, itineraries and cancellation rules from the booking platform option by option, normalise them and write down what is promised, excluded or unclear. Prices carry a date and are converted transparently. Where an operator contradicts itself, that goes in the table, not in a footnote.
What I do not do: pretend I just walked the tour. The pages are research, and they say so. Own experience, operator statements and independent sources stay distinguishable. Medical, legal and insurance questions I put in context and tell you whom to ask.
How the site makes money
Booking links go to Viator and are affiliate links: if you book, I earn a commission and your price stays the same. The commission has no influence on selection, status or order. There are no paid placements. Details in the affiliate disclosure, the method under How we compare.
